About
Nom is the campus app for UCLA students.
Nom started as a tool for finding food on campus and grew into the broader thing it is now: a verified-students-only app for events, clubs, and a campus marketplace.
Verified students only
Every account on Nom is tied to a @g.ucla.edu email.
That's the entire moat. No randos, no scams, no Riverside-based
Facebook Marketplace surprises.
What's on it
- Events: Public events posted by UCLA students and clubs. RSVP, message hosts, get reminders.
- Clubs: Verified club accounts with their own profile, event history, and join codes.
- Marketplace: Buy and sell within UCLA. Textbooks, dorm furniture, electronics, tickets, clothing.
- Dining (UCLA): Real-time dining hall menus and hours. (We don't put this on the website. UCLA's dining site is fine for that. The app is just more convenient.)
Independent
Nom is independent. We're not affiliated with the University of California, ASUCLA, UCLA Housing, or any UCLA dining service. We just pull public data into a useful app.
Get the app
Nom is free on iOS for UCLA students. That's the full app: events, clubs, and the marketplace.
On Android
There's an Android version on Google Play. It covers the dining side of Nom for now: which dining halls are open, what's on the menu, closing times, and on-campus spots. Events, clubs, and the marketplace are iOS only while we build them out for Android.
